USC Looks To Hurdle UCLA To Finish Strong

by Nick Hamilton (@NickHamiltonLA)

The USC Trojans have been on a hot streak as of late, winning their last four games against Oregon, Oregon State, Utah and Colorado. The Trojans have averaged 70+ points per victory against those Pac-12 schools.

They have locked up a first round bye in the upcoming Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas. USC is  also one victory and one Arizona loss away from clinching a share of the Pac-12 regular season title. A tough task ahead on March 3 as the Trojans look to avenge their earlier season loss against their crosstown rival UCLA Bruins at Galen Center. A victory over the Bruins allows the Trojans into the NCAA Tournament, and with a strong finish in the Pac-12 tournament, could allow them to escape a tough bracket in Dayton, and better seeding in the tournament.

The Bruins are not on the list to get into the Tournament club, but a victory over USC could improve their chances of moving up the list to enter into the tournament. The basketball rematch  many are anticipating is between Aaron Holiday of UCLA and Jordan McLaughlin of USC, as they're the Pac-12's eclectic passers.

UCLA defeated USC on February 3 at Pauley Pavilion 82-79.
