Deshaun Watson looks tackle the Texans playbook
by Nick Hamilton (@NickHamiltonLA)
First round pick Deshaun Watson fresh of his national championship from Clemson, has to tackle a new foe in the Houston Texans playbook.
The Texans traded their 2018 first-round pick to the Cleveland Browns to move up and draft Watson 12th overall.
"It's a whole different terminology. It's like learning Spanish. You turn the page (from college) and learn something brand new," Watson told reporters at Texans rookie minicamp on Saturday.
Watson could snatch the starting role from quarterback Tom Savage if he has a good off-season. Watson is determined to get better and many have high expectations of Watson being under center this coming season. So high to that fact, many believe he could turn the franchise around like Dak Prescott did for the Dallas Cowboys last season.
"It's going to take long nights and early mornings," Watson explained to reporters. "I'll put in the work I need to be successful on the field."
Look for Watson this season on a field near you and at NRG Stadium.
